Sarah White Johnson

Sarah White Johnson, age 97, of Suwanee, GA passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lamar Johnson; son, Johnny L. Johnson; and great grandson, Jacob Dalton Thomas. She is survived by her sons, Jerry and Sharon Johnson, Buford, GA, Dewitt and Connie Johnson, Suwanee, GA; daughter-in-law, Linda Jackson Johnson, Lawrenceville, GA; ten grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; sister, Margaret and Steve Jackson, Sugar Hill, GA; brothers, Kelly White, Suwanee, GA, Ralph White, Bethlehem, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Johnson was born July 15, 1919 in Buford, GA. She received her education from the Gwinnett County School System. She was a homemaker and had worked for Genesco Shoe Company. She was a longtime member of Peachtree Road Baptist Church in Suwanee, GA. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Rolland Jackson, Rev. Winfred Martin and remarks by Mr. Stephen Moore for Rev. Danny Ashworth. Interment will follow at Peachtree Road Baptist Church Cemetery in Suwanee, GA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
