Wayne Lynn Stephens

Wayne Lynn Stephens, age 72, of Hoschton, GA passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lynn and Anna Mae Stephens. He is survived by his son, Robert “Bobby” Stephens and wife, Amy, Covington, GA; two grandchildren; and numerous cousins and friends. Mr. Stephens was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and employed with the City of Doraville in the Maintenance Department. He was a long time race fan and an active member of the Georgia Automobile Racing Hall of Fame Association. He enjoyed country and bluegrass music and attended the Everett’s Music Barn, his second home, where he was considered part of the family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Scott Suttles officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 2:30 p.m. until time of service at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Everett’s Music Barn, 2794 Buford Dam Road, Buford, GA 30518 in memory of Lynn Stephens.
