Loretta Ann (Denton) Toomey

Loretta Ann (Denton) Toomey, 77 passed away on July 10, 2017, after a long battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Loretta is a resident of Buford, GA, formally of Atlanta, Memphis, TN, and Luxora, ARK. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Virgil D. Toomey, Jr., her son, Kenna Wayne Toomey, and his wife, Christine Toomey, and granddaughter, Nikki Toomey. Also she is survived by her nephews, Clifford and Troy Oliver and her great nephew, Ryan Oliver. Loretta graduated from Luxora ARK HS, ‘57and attended Memphis State Univ. ’67. Loretta loved popular music of the 50’s & 60’s, and enjoyed building her tape collection. She liked entertaining family, especially holiday meals. She retired from her position with Gwinnett Clinic front desk in 2008. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
