James H. Chadwick

James H. Chadwick, 89, of Atlanta passed away Monday, July 17, 2017. A native of Forsyth County, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  Chad retired from Southern Bell after 31 years.  He loved gardening, weaving baskets and entertaining everybody with his humor.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Ruth Inez Chadwick of Atlanta; daughters, Sandra Hobgood of Stockbridge, Angie (Ken) Simonton of Decatur, Jamie (Gary)Hicks of Stockbridge, Gina Chadwick of Riverdale; grandchildren, Brandon, Adam and Amberley Hobgood and Daniel Chadwick; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty (Preston) Martin of Cumming, Virginia (Talmadge) Roper of Grayson; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20, at 11:00 at Morrow First Baptist Church.  A second service will be held Friday, July 21, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the church Thursday morning the hour prior to the service in Morrow; and at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday morning the hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
