William John Bender, Jr

Mr. William John Bender, Jr., age 68, of Flowery Branch passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 22, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Bender was born October 2, 1948 to the late William & Anna Bender, Sr. in Hackensack, New Jersey.  He was an Army Vietnam Veteran, a member of the VFW and was employed by Hampton Inn and Suites in Flowery Branch, where he was a Building Engineer.

Mr. Bender is survived by his wife, Linda Bender of Flowery Branch; children, Ian & Wendy Clayton of Buford, Geralyn & Michael McKinlay of Burlington, Washington, Monica & George Nickels of Flowery Branch, and Alaina & Christopher Harris of Braselton; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister, Lois Dellapietro of Clifton, New Jersey.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and sons, Vaughn Bender and Stephen Cropanese.
