Calvin Edward Cantrell

Mr. Calvin Edward Cantrell age 78 of Queen Street, Toccoa passed away Friday July 28, 2017 at his residence.

A son of the late Harley Lee and Mary Elizabeth Ivester Cantrell, He was born on May 4, 1939 in Pens Grove, New Jersey having lived most of his life in Toccoa. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers J.C. Cantrell, Earl Cantrell and Marvin Cantrell.

Survivors include three brothers and sister-in-law James and Leila Cantrell and Billy Ray Cantrell of Toccoa and L.C. Cantrell of Carnesville and a sister and brother-in-law Inez and Bill Gordon of Traveler’s Rest, South Carolina.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 P.M. at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Austin Ivester and the Reverend Jeff Caudell officiating. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 P.M. til 8 P.M.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Billy Dwain Gordon, Larry Cantrell, Michael Cantrell, Dillon Cantrell, Corey Cantrell and Casey Cantrell.

Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
