Versie Baker

Versie (Vickie) Baker, 94, of Gainesville, Ga passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born on May 17, 1923 she was the daughter of the late William and Mae Threatte Mattox.  She was a hairstylist and of the Pentecostal faith. She created and managed Emergency Church Shelter Program, More than Enough Food Pantry and was a long term volunteer for My Sisters Place.

 In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George V. Baker.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her son, William Baker (Linda) of Gainesville; daughter, Georgette Baker (Tom Koch) of Olympia, WA; grandchildren, Erin Brock (Zach), Justin Koch, Gary Koch and multiple nieces and nephews.
