Martha Sue Chastain, age 64 of Sautee, Georgia passed away on August 3, 2017.
Martha was born in Lumpkin County to the late Claude Gravitt and Fannie Lee Brock Gravitt on October 17, 1953. She will always be remembered for her ability to do amazing crafts and needle point. Her cooking skills were second to non as was were the pranks she could pull on people.
In addition to her parents, Martha is Proceeded in death by two sisters, Lois Couch of Cleveland and Catherine Cowart of Cumming.
Mrs. Chastain is Survived by her Loving husband of 46, Gary M. Chastain of Sautee; Daughter, Susan Chastain of Sautee; Son, Gary S. (Van) Chastain of Sautee; Son in law, Teddy Bernhardy of Sautee; Daughter in law, Cindy Chastain of Sautee; Sisters, Iris Loggins, Patricia Gravitt, and Eloise Dills all of Sautee; Grandchildren, Kiersten Christlieb, Jeffery Gibson, Michael Chastain, Casey Chastain, and Zoey Chastain, all of Sautee.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 06, 2017 from 5 until 8PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, August 07, 2017 at 2 PM. Interment will be held at the Woodlawn Community Cemetery on Monday.
