Nancy Jane Mullis

Mrs. Nancy Jane Mullis, age 44, of Dahlonega, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at her residence.

Nancy was born in Cumming, GA to Mark and the late Katherine Weaver on December 30, 1972. In addition to her mother she is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Paul and Zennie Weaver, and maternal grandfather Burrell Walker. Nancy attended Lumpkin County High School and was on the Dean’s List at North GA Technical College where she obtained her Medical Assistance Degree.  She was a member of Grace Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Sammy Mullis, Dahlonega; son, Randy Mullis, Dahlonega; dad and step-mom, Mark and Barbara Weaver, Dahlonega; maternal grandmother, Montine Clarke, Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, William and Francine Weaver, Dahlonega; brother, Tony Weaver, Dahlonega; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cassie and Richard Johnson, Maggie and Michael Patterson, Dinah and Robert Johnson, all of Dahlonega; sisters Lora Schmidt and Cindy Cole, both of Dahlonega; sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Shane Abernathy, Dahlonega; mother-in-law, Opal Mullis, Cochran, GA; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in Banister Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Kelly Smith, Elder Paul Mooney, and Elder Brad Hansard will officiate.  The interment will follow at 2 P.M. in Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Gilmer County.  The family will receive friends from 4-9 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
