Cynthia “Cindy” Yvonne Doss Chastain

Mrs. Cynthia “Cindy” Yvonne Doss Chastain age 67 of Skyline Drive, Toccoa passed away Saturday August 12, 2017 at Stephens County Hospital.

A daughter of the late Warren and Jeanette Peters Doss, she was born on October 16, 1949 in West Virginia having moved to Toccoa in 1989. She received a Bachelor Degree in Respiratory Therapy from Bluefield State College in West Virginia. She worked for Welch Emergency Hospital, Bluefield Regional Hospital and later at Stephens County Hospital. She was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by a son Christopher Bell in 2013.

Survivors include her husband Don Chastain of the home, a daughter Amy Bell of West Virginia, two step daughters Jamie McIntyre and Caitlin McKenzie of Toccoa, grandchildren Ashley Hayton, Alyssa Colo, Tyler East, Rylee McIntyre, Gavin Wilt, Trenum Wilt, Elise McKenzie and Declan McKenzie and one brother Dickie Doss of West Virginia.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 15, 2017 at 11 A.M. at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with the Reverend Roger Whiten officiating. The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday from 6 P.M. til 8 P.M.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Dwain Chastain, Doug Chastain, Dennis Chastain, Jeremy Adams, John McIntyre and Zach McKenzie.

Interment will follow in the Roselane Cemetery.
