Donald William Stroefer, Jr

Donald William Stroefer, Jr., age 66 passed away at his home in Cumming, Georgia on August 16, 2017.  Toby, as he was affectionately known, was preceded in death by his parents Marjorie and Donald William Stroefer, Sr.

He is survived by his loving fiancé Janet Reaves Smith, daughter Amanda Jane Stroefer Chase, her husband Matthew, his son Andrew Jonathan Stroefer, the mother of his children, Sharon Robertson Perla and sisters Elizabeth (Betsy) Powell and Carole Short.

Toby grew up in Mansfield, Ohio and was a 1969 graduate of Jordan High School in Durham, NC. After moving to Atlanta, he became an ardent University of Georgia fan where he went to college. A stranger to none, a friend to many,

Toby was dedicated to the pursuit of God’s will and was loved by many for his positive approach toward life.  His thoughts and prayers were dictated by his love for Jesus, the precious director among the pathways of life.

Many of Toby’s favorite moments were those spent with family, friends or a good golf course. He will be greatly missed.

There will be a Celebration of Life for friends and family at 12Stone Central Church on Saturday, August 19^th at 2:00 pm.
Any selected donations can be made to the American Cancer Association or to 12Stone Church.
