Larry Junior Millwood

Larry Junior Millwood, 73, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Free Chapel Worship Center with the Reverend Jentezen Franklin officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Millwood will lie in state at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the service hour.

Born on March 7, 1944 in Gainesville, GA he was the son of the late Luther and Jane Sheriff Millwood. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in Vietnam. Mr. Millwood was a retired self-employed Master Builder.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Millwood is preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth and Charles Millwood; sisters, Mamie Gooch, Vera Harrell; father and mother in law, J.O. “Doc” and Nicie Cantrell.

Mr. Millwood is survived by his wife of 53 years, Oma Millwood; son, Jay (Kelli) Millwood; daughter, Becca (Michael) Stone; grandchildren, Bailey, Jake, and Lawson Millwood; Elijah and Ryleigh Stone; Braeden and Bentley Martin; sister, Mattie Moore; brothers, Millard Millwood, George Millwood and a number of other relatives.
