Oscar "O.C." Charles Forrester

Oscar “O.C.” Charles Forrester, 77, of Lula, Georgia passed away on Friday, August25, 2017 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2017 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Flat Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on September 8, 1939 in Lula, he was the son of the late Hobert and Cordelia Dalton Forrester. He was self-employed as a farmer and a textile worker. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Forrester is preceded in death by 1 sister and 4 brothers.

Mr. Forrester is survived by his wife of 58 years, Brenda Garrison Forrester; sons, Wayne Forrester (Denise) Forrester, Michael Forrester (Cindy) 3 grandchildren, Nikki Forrester, Jennifer Forrester, Katy Forrester; 5 great grandchildren, Gage Gooch, Austin Nelson, Dylan Scott, Reece Nelson, Lottie Kerns; 5 step grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren all of Lula; sisters, Frankie Hawkins (John), Lottie Lockhart (Dean), India Forrester all of San Antonio TX; brothers, Johnny Forrester, Bob Forrester, Joe Forrester, Jeff Forrester and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family would like to thank the church family and friends for prayers and kindness. A special Thanks to Fresenius Dialysis Center, New Holland and Mtn. Medical Transport for taking care of us.
