Doris McBrayer Smith

Doris McBrayer Smith, 78, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017. Doris was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, where she was an active member until her stroke in 2010.  She loved cooking for her kids, flowers, sitting in the sun, and most of all spending time with her kids and grandkids.  Doris retired in 2003 from Aramark after almost 20 years of service.

Survivors include her children, Stanley and Lynn Evans of Cumming, Kenny Evans of Cumming, Connie Tant of Dawsonville, Kristie and Donny Willbanks of Cumming; LeeAnn and John Frix of Dawsonville; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many brothers and sisters, along with a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 31, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Whitmire and Rev. Harold McCord officiating.  Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
