Wallace D. Dahlstrand, Sr.

Wallace D. Dahlstrand, Sr., age 87, of Demorest, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 following a sudden illness.
Mr. Dahlstrand was born on February 28, 1930 in Stamford, Connecticut to the late Svante L. and Gertrude S. Dahlstrand. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Ann Dahlstrand; son, Bruce A. Dahlstrand; daughter-in-law, Amy Dahlstrand; brother, Rudolph L. Dahlstrand; sister, Ruth D. Warren. Mr. Dahlstrand was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard having served during The Korean Conflict. Wallace was retired from the United States Postal Service with 29 years of loyal and dedicated service. After retiring, he worked for 19 years as the maintenance man with Taco Bell in Cornelia.
Survivors include his son, W. David and Brenda Dahlstrand, of Buford, GA; daughter, Leanne S. Tasker and her  partner Terry L. Lenard, of Demorest, GA; brother, S. Arthur Dahlstrand, Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Jennifer Carrier, David Dahlstrand, Rabbi Chaya Oliver Spencer, Jessica Oliver Park, and Anna  Dahlstrand.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
