Dorothy Benson Terrell

Mrs. Dorothy Benson Terrell, age 99, of Flowery Branch passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2017 at Flowery Branch United Methodist Church with interment 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Mountain View Cemetery in Marietta.  Rev. Ed Cook will officiate.

Mrs. Terrell was born May 7, 1918 to the late Thomas M. & Elora Benson in Marietta.  Dorothy lived in Marietta until 2014, when she moved to Flowery Branch to be with her son, Dennis and his wife, Beatrice. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Marietta.

Mrs. Terrell is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Dennis & Beatrice Terrell and Richard & Jean Ye Terrell; 2 grandsons & wives, Chris & Anne Pyron Terrell and Scott & Katie Terrell; and 3 great-grandchildren, Warren, Callaway and Helen.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Lawrence Terrell, whom she married in 1936.
