Evelyn Ruth Sizemore House

Mrs. Evelyn Ruth Sizemore House, age 74 of Lula, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Memorial services are scheduled for Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Mr. Doug Clark, Reverend Scotty Poole and Mr. Hayden Fleming will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.  

Mrs. House was born March 3, 1943 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to the late Rufus Earl Sizemore and Willie Mae Collier Sizemore.  She was retired from Northeast Georgia Medical Center with 36 years of service as an OR Technician and SPD Supervisor.  Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Toby Franklin House, her daughter, Donna Sue Powers, son, John Kevin Roberts, infant daughter, Karen Marie Slade and brother, James Sizemore.  From diagnosis until her last breath our mother was a shining example of strength, courage and grace.  She was truly loved by her family and friends.  It is so hard to imagine life without her.  We love you Mom!!   

Mrs. House is survived by her children, Jerry & Nancy Roberts of Gillsville, Karla & Kevin Fleming of Jacksonville, Florida and Melissa & Derek Runyon of Dahlonega, her beloved furry daughter, Aida, grandchildren, Jennifer Smith, Jeremy Powers, Justin Wilkes, Tasha Rucker, Mandy Ogletree, Jessica Roberts Parks, Hayden Fleming, Jonna Roberts, Heather Roberts, Cade Runyon and Kamryn Fleming, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, brother & sister-in-law, Donald & Pat Sizemore of EL Paso, Texas, sister & brother-in-law, Susan & Doug Clark of Biloxi, Mississippi and numerous other relatives.
