Harold E. Key

Harold E. Key, age 88, of Buford, GA passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017. He was preceded in death by his son, Dave Key; grandson, Shane Key; parents, Flavel and Woodie Mae Key; sister, Beatrice Ivey; brother, Russell Key. Mr. Key is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years, Evelyn Burel Key, Buford, GA; children, Linda and Ralph Revis, Flowery Branch, GA, Dennis Key, Buford; Doyle and Charlotte Key, Buford; ten grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sisters, Dessie Mae Boggs, Hoschton, GA, Bernice Boggs, Hoschton, Shirley and J.W. Fraschieur, Buford, Charlotte Key, Buford; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Fred and Barbara Banks, Hoschton, GA; sister-in-law, Miss Mildred Burel, Lawrenceville, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Key was born May 2, 1929 in Talmo, GA. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and was retired from General Motors in Doraville after thirty years of service. Mr. Key was a member of U. A. W. Local 10, as well as a member and Deacon of Antioch Baptist Church in Buford, GA. He often sang in the Nursing Home Ministry with his wife, family, and church folks. Funeral services will be Friday, September 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Buford, GA.with Rev. Mike Landress officiating. Mr. Key will lie in state at 12:00 noon on Friday. Interment will be at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, 3878 Braselton Hwy, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 7 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
