John Anthony “Tony” Grizzle

John Anthony “Tony” Grizzle, 75, of Oakwood, Georgia passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Oaks of Limestone following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerry Mauldin officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on October 28, 1941 in Gainesville, Ga he was the son of the late Paul Hardman Grizzle, Sr. and the late Mildred Anderson Grizzle.   He was retired from Townsend Tree Services where he was a foreman. He was a member of Rejoice Baptist Church in Flowery Branch. Mr. Grizzle was a veteran of the US Army Reserve.

Mr. Grizzle is survived by his wife of 52 years Ruth Grizzle of Oakwood; daughter, Sherrie Grizzle Bryant of Murrayville; daughter and spouse Angie and Patti Benson of Oregon, daughter and significant other, Katie Grizzle and Leonard Michael of Flowery Branch; grandson, Zach Grizzle, Chris Bryant, Koda Venable; brother and sister in law, Paul and Libby Grizzle of Dahlonega and nephews and other family members.
