Leroy Parks

Mr. Leroy Parks, a lifelong resident of Dahlonega, GA, passed away Sept 19, 2017. He was born on June 20, 1930 in Gainesville, where he began living his full and happy life of 87 years. He is preceded in death by his wives Annie Ruth Parks and Sarah Edwards Parks, his parents Arminda and Gordon Parks, nine brothers and sisters and one grandchild.

Mr. Parks is survived by his children Johnny (Suzanne) Parks, Joann (Larry) Seabolt and Lisa (Dean) Chuvala, grandchildren John Parks, Kevin Parks, Keith Parks, Chris Parks and Jody Parks. Other survivors include Mindy Clark, Alyessa Payne, Kayleigh Lance, Megan Chuvala and 7 great grandchildren.

Mr. Parks was a Deacon at Concord Baptist Church as well as a member. He loved fishing, hunting and telling jokes, and he always had a smile on his face. He was King of the Gold Rush Nursing Home in 2016. He loved his family and enjoyed his life.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept 20, 2017 from 5pm – 9pm and Thursday, Sept 21, 2017 from 12pm – 3pm at Dahlonega Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, Sept 21, 2017 at 4pm Concord Baptist Church, where the interment will immediately follow.
