Eleanor (Ellie) Galier Simon

Mrs. Eleanor (Ellie) Galier Simon, age 80, of Gainesville passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Memorial Mass will be 12:00 p.m., Monday, September 25, 2017 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with inurnment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Her nephew, Father Victor Galier will officiate.  The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Simon was born August 9, 1937 to the late Victor & Lucille Galier in Columbus, Ohio.  She was a member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Dawsonville.

Mrs. Simon is survived by her husband, Daniel J. Simon; children, Lawrence V. Simon, Danielle Simon and Suzanne Simon Rutkowski; and brother, Vincent Galier.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anne Simon Langston, her parents and 3 siblings.
