Ruby “Hilda" Latty

Ruby “Hilda” Latty, age 64, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017. 

Ms. Latty was born on March 18, 1953 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Raymond William and Frances Toney Latty. In addition to her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by her sister, Harriett Latty 
Lackey; uncles, Bascomb Latty, Herman Latty, Odel Toney, George Toney; aunts, Reba Lopez, and Verlene Elliott. Hilda was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church. She retired in 2000 from AT&T after 30 years of dedicated service. After retirement, Hilda worked for Liberty Mutual in Gainesville for a number of years. She loved to spend time with her nieces and nephews, travel, and go out to eat. Hilda was a loving sister, aunt, niece and friend. 

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, John and Beckie 
Latty, of Gainesville; sister, Harlie Latty, of Clarkesville; nephews, 
Raymond Latty, of Gainesville; Everett Huffman, of Mount Airy; nieces, 
Beverly Clark, Cindi Childers, Emilie McGrath, Halie Goodson, all of 
Gainesville; aunts, Lottie Belle Latty, of Gainesville; Betty Toney, 
of Gainesville; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. 

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Latty officiating. 
Interment will follow in the church cemetery. 

The family will receive friends from Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at Ward’s Funeral Home.
