Young Johnnie Seay,Sr.

Obituary Date: Monday, September 25, 2017

Mr. Young Johnnie Seay, Sr., 90, of Gainesville passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Reverend Earl Pirkle and Reverend Craig Broome officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

A lifetime resident of Hall County, Mr. Seay was born on March 12, 1927 the son of the late Young Seay and Harriette Peck Seay. He was retired from the US Postal Service and a member of Central Baptist Church.  Young was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of over 69 years, Pauline W. Seay.

Mr. Seay is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, John and Mary Ann Seay, daughter & son-in-law, Debbie and Dell Moody, granddaughters & their husbands, Mistie & Scott Davis and Megan & Victor Pacheco, sister-in-law, Patricia Simpson and nieces, nephews and cousins.
