Judith Marie Grote

Mrs. Judith Marie Grote, age 75, of Dahlonega passed away Monday, October 2, 2017.

Mrs. Grote was born in Chicago, IL on July 11, 1942 to the late George and Ruth Kuffer Gunderson.  She was a member and very active in the life of Faith Lutheran Church in Cleveland, GA.  Mrs. Grote was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  This love was displayed in her willingness to fight cancer to see her last child graduate high school.  Mrs. Grote was the longest survivor on record of inflammatory breast cancer.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years Jeffery Grote, Dahlonega; son and daughter in law, Adam and Sherry Grote, Marietta; daughter and son in law; Robin and Lee Carpenter, Cleveland; son and daughter in law, David and Linda Grote, Celina, TN; daughter and son in law, Jessica and Kevin McFadden, Gainesville; daughter, Blair Grote, Dahlonega; son, Gabriel Grote, Dahlonega; daughter Wren Grote, Dahlonega; sister Marilyn Elliott, Marietta; grandchildren, Jonathan Grote, Lexi Grote, Douglas Grote, Peggy Lou Grote, Natalie Nesmith, Kaleigh Nesmith, Morgan McFadden, Ashton McFadden, and Landon McFadden.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 11 A.M. Friday, October 6, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church in Cleveland GA. Pastor Tim Morgan will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
