Douglas Abernathy

Mr. Abernathy passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017. 

Born in Madison County, Mr. Abernathy lived most of his life in Hall 
County. A farmer his whole life. Mr. Abernathy retired from Wilheit 
Packaging Company. He was a member of the First Church of Nazarene and 
was preceded was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Elizabeth 
Chandler Abernathy. 

He is survived by sons and daughters in laws, Michael and Lisa 
Abernathy, Gillsville, Mark Abernathy, Gainesville, Marty and Christy 
Abernathy, Commerce; grandchildren, Mitchell and Heather Abernathy, 
Royston, Paul and Jamie Abernathy, Gillsville; Ashley and Kyle 
McDonald, Cleveland, Jacob and Matthew, Abernathy, both of 
Gainesville, Taylor Abernathy, Commerce; seven  great grandchildren; 
siblings, Dalton Abernathy and Sylvia Jones; 15 nieces and nephews
