Terry Baxter Sorah

Obituary Date: Saturday, October 28, 2017

Mr. Terry Baxter Sorah, age70, of Cleveland died Saturday, October 28, 2017 at his residence.  Mr. Sorah was born in Greensboro, NC to the late, Baxter Lee and Gertrude Eunice Gable Sorah.  Mr. Sorah was a missionary, a member of CrossView Baptist Church, and a US Marine veteran in the Vietnam War.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Sorah was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Samantha.

Mr. Sorah is survived by his wife, Shari Swartz Sorah of Cleveland; daughters, Lisa Ann Gallagher of Rapid City, SD, Debi Thurmond (James) of Auburn, Laura Gallagher (Thomas J. Quinn III) of Centerville, VA, and Kimberly Bezy (Marc) of Urbandale, IA; sons, Scott Sorah of Warren, MI and Andrew Sorah (Stephanie) of St. Clair Shores, MI; grandchildren, Anthony, Celia, Ashley, Zachery, Elizabeth (Keegan), Natalie, Andrea, and Katie; great grandchildren, Kayson, Kashton, Aria, Jace, and Kira; brothers, Charles Sorah of MI and John Sorah of MN; sisters, Sandra Sundeen, Janice VanderMolen, Dian Pervinkler, and Margaret Gheldof all of MI.

Celebration service will be held Monday, Oct. 30th at 2:00 PM from The Chantry with Pastor John Wood and Rev. Danny Ashworth officiating with the interment following at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
