Phillip N. Sweeting

Phillip N. Sweeting, age 71, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017. Mr. Sweeting is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Maureen Kent Sweeting, Buford, GA; sons and daughter-in-law, Erik Sweeting, Buford, GA, Chad and Christina Sweeting, Dacula, GA; six grandchildren; sister, Cynthia McLaughlin, Las Vegas, NV; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Susan Sweeting, Bell, FL, Richard and Shannon Sweeting, Jacksonville, FL, Lenny and Faith Sweeting, Melbourne, FL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Sweeting was born December 26, 1945 in Nassau, Bahamas. He was a graduate of South Miami Florida High School and was a retired printer. Mr. Sweeting loved woodworking and was of the Baptist Faith.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford, GA with Pastor Johnson Bowie officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in memory of Phillip Sweeting.
