Steve Douglas Childs

Mr. Steve Douglas Childs, age 60, of Commerce, GA died Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Childs was born in Gainesville to William Donald Childs of Commerce and the late Edna Merle Seagraves Childs. He was a member of Erastus Christian Church and was employed by Cottrelle Trucking.

In addition to his father, Mr. Childs is survived by his wife, Linda Hawks Childs of Commerce; sons, Clint Childs (Paula) of Nicholson and Cody Childs (Darea) of Hull; daughter, Cassie Childs of Jefferson; brother, Jerry Childs of Commerce; and grandchildren, Delia, Paisley and Chloe Childs.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Thursday, November 2 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Stowers and Rev. David Sharpton officiating. Interment will follow in Erastus Christian Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 5 to 7 PM.
