Margaret G. Campbell

Mrs. Margaret G. Campbell, 97, of Greer, SC formerly of Gainesville, GA passed away, Monday, October 30, 2017.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. A time of fellowship will be held after the service in the funeral home lounge.

Born on November 25, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John O. Goodwin and Annie Lou Hill Goodwin. She was a seamstress who worked from home and put all her children thru college with this profession as well as making beautiful clothes for her family. In later life, she became a quilter and made quilts for many in the family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother great grandmother and great-great grandmother who loved caring for her family. Margaret was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church in Gainesville.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William A. (Humpy) Campbell, her son, William S. (Buddy) Campbell, her brother, John Goodwin and her sister, Nita Westbrook.

Mrs. Campbell is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Bobby) Hambrick of Gainesville; sons, Terry (Belva) Campbell of Celina, TN; Thomas (Flo) Campbell of Greer, SC; multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
