Sandra Ann " Sandy" Roman

Sandra Ann " Sandy" Roman, 69 of Cumming, Georgia departed this world peacefully on November 4, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

 She leaves behind her devoted husband, Russ, of more than 50 years. Together they raised their children, Natalie (Domenic) and Gregory (Bridget) on Long Island in New York. She had 7 grandchildren; Nicholas, Alexander, Katherine, Giancarlo, Ashley, Elizabeth (predeceased) and Claire whom she loved beyond words and who cherished her completely.

 She was born in New York, NY on November 17, 1947 to Morris and Helen Stokilo (both predeceased) and is survived by her adoring sisters, Donna Weyer and Marcy Soto. Loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins also.

 Her life was not defined by the jobs she held, one of which she devoted over 25 years. Rather, she chose to be defined as wife, mother, grandmother, sister, quilter and friend.

 A memorial mass will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 12 noon at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church to offer family and friends a chance to celebrate her life. Lunch reception to immediately follow downstairs in the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to LUNGevity Foundation in her honor.
