Krystyna (Kris) Sulimirski

Krystyna (Kris) Sulimirski (Hryniewicz) died peacefully on November 25, 2017 in Lawrenceville, GA at the age of seventy-eight.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband of 55 years Karol; children, Roger and wife Pamela, (Jacksonville, FL), Mark and wife Tessa (Auburn, GA) and Renata and husband Larry (Warwick, NY), eight grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Born on March 11, 1939 in Kupientyn, Poland to Aleksander and Magdalena Hryniewicz. After escaping Poland during World War II, she attended Chelsea College in London studying Pharmacy. She married her beloved Karol on January 20, 1962 in Slough, England and started the next adventure by moving to New Jersey in 1966. 

Once in America, Kris began working for former Assemblyman and New Jersey State Senator Robert Littell in Franklin, NJ as an Executive Assistant. By 1976 she began her real estate career and through the years became an accomplished Century 21 Real Estate Broker/Owner managing three offices in Rockland County, NY. 

Both Kris and Karol retired in 1998 and moved south, settling in Murphy, NC. Kris enjoyed tennis, horseback riding, gardening, hiking, and her grandchildren.

She was a loving devoted wife, mother, Babi, and friend. She had a most generous, loving heart and touched many lives with her presence. She lit up the room with her smile and lived life to the fullest. She was also known to have perfect aim when throwing 2-foot-tall wooden salt & pepper shakers at her deserving sons!

We will always be thankful for the gift that was her life. 

She was a member of the Catholic Church of St. William in Murphy, NC and later of Prince of Peace in Flowery Branch, GA.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 1, 2017 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Flowery Branch, GA. Father Eric Hill will officiate.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home with a Prayer Service being held at 7:00 p.m.  Family, friends and others whose lives Kris touched are welcome to attend.
