James Douglas “Doug” Austin age 57 of Lexington passed away December 3, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Austin was born Feb. 27, 1960 in Winder to the late John Samuel Austin & Johnnie Mae Ingram Austin. He served his country in the National Guard, and was a truck driver with G & P Trucking in Atlanta and was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include, sons and daughters in law, Chad & Jessica Austin of McGregor, Texas, Curtis & Kristen Austin of Robinson, Texas, Kevin & Angela Austin of Caldwell, Texas, daughter, Tiffany Soukup Austin, Hewitt, Texas, bother & sister in law, Mark & Jenda Austin of Hartwell, sister & brother in law, Lisa & Johnny Meadows of Lexington, sisters, Misty French of Longview, Texas, & Vickie O’Bryant of Gladewater, Texas, 8 grandchildren also survive.
A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday December 5, 2017 at the Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce from 6-8 p.m. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
