Charles Dewey Bennett

Charles Dewey Bennett, age 80, of Cumming, GA, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017. He was a United States Navy Veteran. He is preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Bennett; parents, Ivan and Dessie Bennett; brothers, Glendon, Cowboy, Elbert and Paul Bennett; and sisters, Edna McGaha and Evelyn Barrett. He is survived by his two sisters, Willie Mae Buice and Jeanette Walker.

Other survivors include his children, Deborah (Bobby) Sweatman, and Clint (Janice) Bennett; grandchildren, Nakai (Brandi) Sweatman, Nathan Sweatman, Brittany (Tobby) LaCoste, and Casey (Felicia) Bennett; great grandchildren, Preston, Mason, Rileigh, Katelyn, Isaiah, Natalie, Rilynn and Colton; along with many other loving friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 20, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Purcell and Rev. Michael Cantrell officiating.  Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
