Roy V. Ratchford

Roy V. Ratchford, 81, after a strong fight he went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2017 at

3:30am. Roy was born on November 20, 1936. Roy was a loving husband, father, grandfather

and great grandfather. Roy could often be found on the golf course or relaxing in his chair by

the fireplace. He always had time for his family whether it be just a phone call or a visit. He was

never to busy for you. His love poured out of him whenever you were around him and engulfed

everyone in love and happiness. He will be greatly missed here but he will always be watching

over the ones he loved.

Roy was preceded by his parents George Henry Ratchford III and Lois (Ferris) Ratchford and his

sister Dorothy Ratchford.. Roy is survived in death by his beloved wife, Juliet Morgan Ratchford,

George Henry Ratchford IV (brother), Lois Roper (daughter), Cynthia Bradley (daughter), Lucinda

Bordonaro (daughter), Camilla Fortune (daughter), Ashlyn Grummer (granddaughter), Andrew

Smith (grandson), Roy Bradley (grandson), Lisa Nguyen (granddaughter), Paul Bradley

(grandson), Julia Bordonaro (granddaughter), Julian Fortune (grandson), Monica Bradley (great

granddaughter), Michael Bradley (great grandson), Roy Carter Bradley (great grandson) also

many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be held at Dahlonega Funeral Home. The viewing is on December 26, 2017 from

4pm-8pm. On December 27, 2017 there will be a viewing from 10am-5pm with the service

following at 6pm. The address to the funeral home is 20 Gibson Rd., Dahlonega, Ga. 30533.
