James Donald Rice, Jr., age 57 of Gainesville, GA passed away Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017.
Born in Gainesville, GA on June 22, 1960, he was the son of the late James D. Rice, Sr. and Elizabeth Shelton Holbert. He was the widower of Melinda Gaddis Rice, of the Holiness faith and a cement worker with The Pottery.
Survivors include a son, David Hudgins, Winder; daughters, Connie Rice, Fair Play, SC, Bonnie Rice, Seneca, SC; brothers, Larry Rice, Fair Play, SC, and Wayne Gay, Seneca, SC.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Deyton and Rev. David Howard officiating. The family will receive friends 11 am – 12 pm prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
