Marguerite Scott Ellis

Marguerite Scott Ellis, 82, of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Reverend Scott Smith officiating. Interment will be in Mettowee Valley Cemetery in Granville, NY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Born on May 11, 1935 in Granville, NY she was the daughter of the late Harold and Marguerite Baker Scott.  Mrs. Ellis received a Bachelor’s Degree from Cornell University. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist Faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ellis is preceded in death by her Husband, Richard Ellis and her daughter, Roxanne Ellis.

Mrs. Ellis is survived by her sons, Frank Ellis of Gainesville, FL, Scott Ellis of Mesa, AZ, Richard Ellis of Gainesville; grandchildren and spouses, Roger Pearson(Ashley), Erik Ellis (Shannon), Kelsey Kantanen (Ryan), Jenna Ellis, Haydn Ellis all of Gainesville, Danielle Ellis of Greenville, SC, Alex Ellis of Gainesville, FL, Paige Ellis of Mesa, AZ, Brynne Ellis of Mesa, AZ; great grandchildren,  Aubrey Pearson, Avery Pearson, Kynzie Ellis, Chase Ellis, Cadence Ellis all of Gainesville; outlaw, Janet Robertson of Gainesville.
