Thomas Russell Philyaw

Thomas Russell Philyaw, 61, of Sandy Springs, SC died December 20, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Born October 1, 1956 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Thomas Harold “Pete” and Amy Hayes Philyaw.  He is survived by his brother, Ryan Hayes Philyaw and sister-in-law, Trish, and nephew, Daniel, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. 

Russell spent much of his working life as a professional driver and was an avid fan of cars and racing, as well as golf.  He was a member of Sandy Springs United Methodist Church.

A Memorial Service will be held on January 6, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Sandy Springs United Methodist Church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sandy Springs United Methodist Church.
