Frances Wilson Vandiver

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Frances Wilson Vandiver, age 99 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Tuesday, January 2, 2018.  Mrs. Vandiver was born in Commerce, Georgia the daughter of the late Willie Aubrey Wilson and the late Nina Standridge Wilson.  Mrs. Vandiver was a member of Oconee Baptist Church and was retired from the Jefferson City School System having worked in the Cafeteria many years.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vandiver is preceded by her husband, Claude C. “C.C.” Vandiver, Jr.

Mrs. Vandiver is survived by a loving family which consist of Sheila Caudell and family, Melinda Satterfield and family, Matthew Edward and family and Phillip Edwards and family.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 4, 2018 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend James Dumas and Reverend Andy Edwards, and Reverend Erich Wills officiating with burial to follow in the Oconee Baptist Church Cemetery.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are David Wilson, Danny Edwards, Hope Loggins, Rob Edwards, Sammy Martin and Greg McDonald.  The family will receive friends 1:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the funeral home.
