Bille R. Ramey

Billy R. Ramey, age 82, of Dacula, GA passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-nine years, Patsy F. Ramey; parents, Cleamon and Birdie Ramey; sister, Marie Ramey Hair; and brother-in-law, Dorsey Stancil.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kay Ramey Mauldin and husband, David Mauldin, Dacula, GA; grandchildren, Nathaniel Mauldin, Dacula, GA and Jacob Mauldin, Dacula, GA; sister, Jean Ramey Stancil, Buford, GA; brother-in-law, Lavon Hair, Lawrenceville, GA; sister-in-law, Lorene F. Minton, Dacula, GA; brother-in-law, Junior Butler, Dacula, GA; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Mr. Ramey was born May 25, 1935 in Auburn, GA. He was a 1953 graduate of Dacula High School in Dacula, GA. He was retired as a truck driver from Oxford Industries and drove over three million miles during his career. He was also a former school bus driver and janitor for the Gwinnett County School System. He was a member of Duncan Creek Congregational Church in Buford, GA.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Duncan Creek Congregational Church Cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m.
