Marion “CB” Lee Meaders, Sr., age 74 of Commerce, GA passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018.
Born on Dec. 14, 1943 in West Point, MS, he was the son of the late Aubrey Lee and Zelda Mae Little Meaders. He was a Parks Director for Gwinnett County, umpired softball and baseball, member of Temple Baptist in Homer, and a Vietnam veteran in the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Johnson Meaders of the residence; sons, Marion Lee Meaders, Jr., MS, William Shannon Meaders, Homer, Shawn Lin Meaders, Buford; daughter, Jane Renee Meaders, MS; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday, Jan. 12, 2018 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Arrowood, Rev. Tommy Foskey, and Rev. Zack Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
