Francis H. Shore, age 90 of Commerce, GA passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018.
Born on Feb. 15, 1927 in Commerce, GA to the late Claude and Lucy Lord Shore. Mr. Shore was the widower of Geneva Elizabeth Jordan Shore, was a truck driver with Complete Auto Transit, member of Blacks Creek Baptist Church, and served our country as a US Army veteran stationed in Germany. He is preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Gatrel.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Artie and Gail Shore, Hiram, GA; daughters, Janis Lemley, Mableton, Betty McDougal, Austell; Wanda Gatrel, Cartersville; sister, Sarah Fleming, Athens; 5 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, Jan. 12, 2018 at Blacks Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Chad Rising officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. The family will receive friends 5-8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
