Janet White Murray

Mrs. Janet White Murray, age 93 of 1013 W. Currahee Street, Toccoa passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at Pruitt Health Toccoa.

A daughter of the late Arrie and Maybelle Rumsey White, she was born July 23, 1924 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was employed with Toccoa Casket Company for a number of years and was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Murray in 1994 and by a son, Jimmy Murray in 1992.

Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Browning of Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Betsy Murray of Kernersville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Vicki Cagle, Gary Murray, Jr., Daryl Browning, Jason Murray, Dana Ott and Kevin Murray; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Juanita Pruitt and Johnnie Sue and Oliver Kesler both of Tococa; sister-in-law, Jean White of Toccoa.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 24, 2018, 11 O’clock a.m. at Zebulon Baptist Church with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Bruce Pruitt, Nick Busha, Peter Ott, David Pittman and Keith Anderson.

Interment will follow in the Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Janet White Murray.
