Ernest Jackson "Jack" Haynes, Jr.

Ernest Jackson "Jack" Haynes, Jr., 67 of Gainesville passed away Monday January 22, 2018 at his residence.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Haynes was the son of the late Ernest and Bunnie Martin Haynes.  He was the co-owner/operator of Haynes Grocery in the Sardis community for a number of years, and also had worked from Builders First Source.  He was a graduate of Gainesville High School and Lanier Technical College.  Mr. Haynes was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Michael Wilkes, Cleveland; daughter, Kelly Haynes, Gainesville; granddaughter, Mikalyn Wilkes, Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Phillip Mathis, sisters, June Haynes and Jane Haynes, all of Gainesville.

Mr. Haynes is preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Julie Diane Haynes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday January 25, 2018 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Rev. Michael Wilkes will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.
