Carolyn “Joyce” Cape

     Mrs. Carolyn “Joyce” Cape, age 81 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at her residence following a brief illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Bradley Elliott and Reverend Sam Robinson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 1 – 3 pm and 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

            Mrs. Cape was born July 29, 1936 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Theodore Miller and Thelma Yopp Miller.  She was retired from Cape’s Motorcycle Sales where she was the co-owner and operator with her late husband James. Joyce was a member of Springway Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Cape, her son-in-law, Kelly Pittman and her sister, Jeraldine Scovill.

            Mrs. Cape is survived by her children, Jackie and Perry Greenway and Jamie Pittman, both of Gainesville, her grandchildren, Jordan & Matt Ledford, their children, Kaylee, Karter and Kooper, grandchild, Jessica Diaz, her children, Levi, Sara and Noah, grandchildren, Jimmy & Lauren Byers and their child, James, grandchild, Chelsea Pittman and her children, Liam, Aaron and Jace, grandchild, Caitlyn Pittman, grandchild, Cassidy Pittman and her children, Micah and Dawson, sister, Jean Jenkins of Gainesville and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
