Jerry Robert Bentley

Jerry Robert Bentley, 69 of Gainesville passed away Wednesday January 31, 2018.

Born in White County, Mr. Bentley had lived in Hall County since 1971.  He was the son of the late David William "Bill" and Minnie Bell Bentley.  He was retired from AT&T and was a member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church in White County.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Meryl Dyer Bentley, Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lanette and Richard Smith, Sautee; Lucille and Myer Westmoreland, Cleveland; brother, Donald Bentley, brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Joyce Bentley, all of Cleveland.  A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Bentley is preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Joyce McCollum Bentley.

A private family service will be held, and the family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Saturday February 3, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers that family has asked the memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of Mr. Bentley.
