Arthur Hugh Martin, Jr

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Arthur Hugh Martin, Jr., age 81 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Wednesday, February 7, 2018.  Mr. Martin was born in Jefferson, Georgia a son of the late Arthur Hugh Martin, Sr. and the late Nellie Mae Turpin Martin, was of the Christian Faith and was a retired Diesel Mechanic with Hanson Aggregates.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin is preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Mary Parr Martin of Jefferson, son, Arthur (Ott) Martin and his wife Sharon of Maysville, son, Dean Martin and his wife Nickie “Sissy” of Nicholson, daughter, Wendy Mobley and her husband Rick of Jefferson, son, Terry Martin and his wife Rhonda of Pendergrass.  Brother, Boyd Martin of Jefferson, sister Isabelle Pressley of Maysville.  Special nephew, Phillip Casey of Jefferson.  Grandchildren, Aubrey Martin, Amanda Martin, Alexis Martin, Courtney Seagraves, and Nicholas Martin.  Great grandchildren, Natalie, Tanner, Landon, Wyatt and Daisy.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 10, 2018 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Jesse Mealor officiating with burial to follow in Woodbine Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. Friday, February 9, 2018 at the funeral home.
