Verner Allen Murray

Mr. Verner Allen Murray age 75 of North Red Rock Road, Toccoa passed Friday February 9, 2018 at Stephens County Hospital.

A son of the late Henry and Eva Pless Murray, he was born on May, 14, 1942 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He was retired from Eaton Corporation and a member of North Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of the home Shirley Brown Murray, daughter and son-in-law Sheila and Johnny Scroggs of Eastanollee, a son Tim Turner of Royston, Georgia, grandchildren Joshua Scroggs, Hope and Tommy Carrell, Terry Scroggs, Patricia Turner and Bradley Turner, four great grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law Horace and Virginia Murray and Bruce and Regina Murray both of Toccoa, sisters and brothers-in-law Christine and Jerry Steele of Cornelia, Georgia and Pauline and Frank Hinson of Dothan, Alabama.

Funeral Services will be held Monday February 12, 2018 at 2 P.M. at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Stephen Harris officiating. The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from 6 P.M. til 8 P.M.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Josh Scroggs, Tommy Carrell, Timmy Turner, Terry Scroggs, Bradley Turner, and Jeffery Murray.

Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens.
