Billy Joe Christopher, Sr

Billy Joe Christopher, Sr., age 59, of Dawsonville, GA, passed away February 25, 2018.  He was the Associate Pastor of New Life Baptist Church in Dawsonville, GA. Joe was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, and brother. He loved fishing and worshiping his Lord and Savior. He is preceded in death by his grandparents. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Christopher; parents, Wilson and Ruth Christopher; children, Jennie (Richard) Frady, Rebecca (Terry) Pruitt, Billy (Ranita) Christopher, Jr., April Finnegan and Jackie West; siblings, Richard (Vickie) Christopher, William (Avis) Christopher, and Ann (David) Calvert; 16 grandchildren; and many other loving friends and relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Christopher will be held Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA, with Rev. Tommy Ross, Rev. Jackie Christopher, Rev. Larry Nichols, Rev. Tony Ewing and Rev. Henry Lackey officiating. Interment will follow at Old Big Creek Cemetery in Alpharetta, GA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help off-set funeral expenses.
