Christopher M. Corley, age 40, of Gainesville, GA, crossed over Wednesday, February 28, 2018.
He was born January 23, 1978 and raised in Atlanta, Ga. Chris graduated from Plano High School, Plano, TX in 1996 and immediately enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. where he served from1996 to 2000.
Christopher loved his country, the Marines and his Marine brothers and sisters, and stayed in touch with them throughout his life. He contributed his humor and wit to all who would listen. Chris loved all things Arnold Schwarzenegger and emulated him with his physical stature, cigar smoking and expensive taste. He could recite every line in every Arnold movie with the accent, and even named his dog Arnold.
Christopher was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Virginia Corley, James and Verjean Bathras; uncles, Chip Corley, and Kirby Starr.
Survivors are mother and step father, Kim Starr and Ed Oliva of Clearwater, FL; father, Michael Corley of Tucker, GA; brothers, Ben Corley, Atlanta GA., Sean Corley, Chattanooga, TN; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and his precious Antonia, Jaden and Erin Mallon.
“Christobird Nighthawk Corley” will be missed by so many of his loved ones and friends. He is in Heaven awaiting his orders.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018, 1:00 PM at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home, 1190 McEver Rd, Gainesville, GA 30504.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service.
