Wanda Virginia Sargent

Mrs. Wanda Virginia Sargent age 76 of Gainesville passed away on Tuesday March 06, 2018 at Gateway Health and Rehab following an extended illness.

          Graveside services are scheduled for Friday March 09, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Bradley Elliott will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday March 08, 2018 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

          Wanda was born on July 01, 1941 in Gainesville, Ga to the late Albert Williams and Maggie Pennington Williams. She was retired from the Hall County Board of Education where she worked at East Hall High School in the Lunchroom, and was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church. Wanda has been a resident of New Holland all of her life. She is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Parson, and brother, Doyle Williams.

          Mrs. Sargent is survived by her husband of 59 years, Raymond L. Sargent of New Holland, daughter, Terenda Sargent of New Holland, son, Lenis Sargent of Gillsville, son, Craig Sargent of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Kiley and Titia Sargent of Gainesville, grand-son, Will Sargent, grand-daughter, Maggie Sargent, sister, Betty Davis of New Holland, and special nephew, Steve Davis of New Holland.

          Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
